Medical / Emergency Care

We work with local ophthalmologists, local specialists and primary care providers to ensure all eye care needs are met. In office we can also remove foreign bodies and ingrown lashes, treat red and dry eye, manage glaucoma, macular degeneration and other ocular disease, and work with specialists for sudden vision loss as needed.

Foreign body removal: with welding, sand, and other small particles, sometimes these substances get into the eye and can cause irritation and permanent scarring. We can safely remove the foreign bodies to provide immediate relief.

Pink eye/eye infections: infections or irritation of the front surface of the eye can be from various causes including viral, bacterial, allergic and fungal. These are appropriately managed at our office depending on etiology.

Sudden vision loss: May be caused retinal detachments, vascular conditions, or trauma. We may be able to provide treatment in office or to refer immediately to the correct care facility.

Ingrown lashes: We can safely remove inturned lashes or refer to a specialist who can do specialized procedures to prevent recurrences.

Dry eye: We can do a comprehensive work up to determine severity of the dryness and treat according to severity. Our providers are certified to do Bleph Ex treatments for successful management of dry eye and blepharitis.

Glaucoma: This is a common condition that can be successfully treated and prevent significant vision loss. We screen and manage and co-manage with OCT, prescription drops or surgery as needed to prevent damage to the optic nerve.

Age Related Macular Degeneration: We are able to monitor for any progression of macular degeneration needing intervention with a specialist.
